The Wisconsin Film Festival is hosted by a combination of campus, civic, and privately owned theaters, all in the heart of Madison and all within walking distance.
Thank you to our theater partners for being a vital part of this event!

Capacity ranges from 140 to 1500 seats, with five theater dedicated to 35mm film, five theaters to digital video, one thats project both 35mm film or digital video.

Wisconsin Union Theater
In the Memorial Union, 800 Langdon Street

Frederic March Play Circle
In the Memorial Union, 800 Langdon Street, second floor

Chazen Museum of Art
800 University Avenue; two theaters on the lower level. No food or drink in the building.

UW Cinematheque
Room 4070, Vilas Hall, 821 University Avenue (corner of University & Park). The Cinematheque entrance is on the 4th-floor plaza, the same level of the pedestrian bridge that crosses University Ave.

MMoCA — Madison Museum of Contemporary Art
227 State Street; enter through the Rotunda between Overture Center and MMoCA

Orpheum and Stage Door Theatres
216 State Street. For the festival, the Orpheum Main and Stage Door theatres have separate entrances. The Stage Door entrance is on Johnson Street, northeast of State.

Bartell Theatre
113 East Mifflin Street

Majestic Theatre
115 King Street

Monona Terrace Convention Center
Lecture Hall, Level 4. Enter from West Wilson Street, at the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive.

The Festival works with IATSE Local 251 to provide union projectionists for some theaters.
