Festflix & Chill 2019

The fourth annual Festflix & Chill presents 90 minutes of short films from the 2019 Wisconsin’s Own section of the Festival, and Hail Satan?, a feature film from the 2019 Wisconsin Film Festival. This event is free and open to the public!

Tuesday Night Movie Club: Ida

This moving inquiry into a national trauma achieves its exceptional power through its intimacy… Filmed in luminous black and-white in the classic Academy aspect ratio, Ida combines some of the year’s best cinematography and art direction to create a truly immersive viewing experience.

College Flicks: Los Lecheros

Join us for a free screening of LOS LECHEROS, a short documentary that explores how the fate of undocumented immigrant workers and Wisconsin’s $43 billion dairy industry are closely intertwined – and both are grappling with their options for survival as fears of ICE raids and deportations under the Trump administration grow.

Festflix & Chill 2018

Starting at 4:00 pm, we’ll screen a selection of 2018 Wisconsin’s Own shorts. At 6:00 pm, catch Hearts Beat Loud, “a truly sweet, funny, and downright likable comedy” (Roger Ebert). While this event is geared towards welcoming new students to the UW–Madison campus, it is free and open to the public.

Afterglow at The Madison Concourse Hotel

Join us for delicious food, drink specials, and cinema chat. Live music courtesy of Madison Red and The Band That Time Forgot. There is no entry fee for Afterglows. All are encouraged to join!
